| Fly and light tackle fishing for trout and bass |
About Slate Drake Guide Service, Inc.
Having fished the local waters of Northeastern Pennsylvania for many years, I have caught many nice trout, bass, walleye, muskie, and northern pike in those waters. The Susquehanna River holds all of these fish and many of them get very large! Fishing Creek, in Columbia County, has many large trout, but you have to hunt for them. They are not always active, but when you find them and they are feeding, you are in for a good day.
I like fishing the slate drake hatch. I have had my best luck between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM during the hatch. I caught my first 20"+ brown trout on a slate drake dry fly and have caught many more 20"+ browns since then. That is why I chose the name of "Slate Drake Guide Service, Inc." . It is my favorite hatch, and you will find me on Fishing Creek during the late mornings and afternoons when the slate drakes are active.
